Recognizing what an enclosed or confined space is, and knowing how to make it safe for entry, are two key lessons of this course.

Participants Will Learn:

How to identify an enclosed or confined space, according to existing H&S Regulation O.Reg 632/05 enforced as of September 30, 2006 - Specific to Industrial Establishments Regulation 851 Part 1.1, Sections 119.1 – 120.0
How to identify the hazards of a confined space
What procedures are required for working safely in a confined area and be in compliance with the new Regulations
The importance and value of a work permit system
Why it is essential to continually monitor a confined space
When to conduct lockout
Review the new Confined Space Regulations
